Job Title: Laborer

Job Summary:
We are looking for a hardworking Construction Laborer to assist in various building projects in rural Alaska. This role involves physical labor, working in remote conditions, and supporting carpenters and other tradespeople. The ideal candidate is adaptable, reliable, and comfortable working in extreme weather conditions with limited resources.
Responsibilities:
Assist with general construction tasks, including site preparation, material handling, and cleanup.
Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment.
Perform basic tasks such as digging, lifting, and carrying heavy objects.
Assist carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople as needed.
Operate hand and power tools safely.
Help with assembling and installing building components.
Work in varying weather conditions, including extreme cold and rugged terrain.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean worksite.
Qualifications:
Experience: Previous construction or labor experience preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work long hours in demanding conditions, and perform strenuous physical tasks.
Skills: Willingness to learn, ability to follow instructions, and work well in a team.
Other: Valid driver’s license preferred; willingness to travel to remote job sites by boat, ATV, or small aircraft.
Preferred:
Experience working in remote or off-grid environments.
Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
Ability to adapt to unpredictable conditions and work independently when needed.
Compensation:
Prevailing wages or competitive hourly wage based on experience.
Housing and meals may be provided for remote locations.
Travel stipends may be available.
