Description
Bethel was contracted to design-build and repair Sewer Lift Stations at Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC) Port Hueneme (PH) and Point MUGU. The purpose is to repair aging and failing sewer lift stations and re-establish performance into fully functional condition needed to support mission requirements for continued use of NBVC.
Bethel will furnish all planning, design, labor, transportation, equipment, supplies, materials, supervision, procurement, construction, incidental engineering, landscaping and verification testing necessary to repair lift stations and lift stations components at NBVC, Point Mugu and PH.
Bethel will equip the NBVC Waste Water Lift Stations with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), bypass piping, and emergency generator hook-ups. Bethel will repair lift stations already having existing bypass piping, automatic transfer switches (ATS), generators, and emergency generator hook-up. The bypass piping will allow operations and maintenance personnel to connect a portable pumping unit to an intake at the wet well and an outlet at the valve vault. The emergency generator hook-up will facilitate power to the control/electrical panel and include conductor cables extension cords for generator hook-up. UPS on the Alarm Annunciator panel will provide a backup power source with capacity to operate both audio and visual trouble warning for a minimum of 72 hours during a power outage.
Bethel will perform all repairs while lift stations remain operation, within station capacity with continuity of raw sewage flow in the system maintained throughout the repair work.
